Gold, New York International Olive Oil COMPETITION, 2017

The 3 most prestigious Olive Oil competitions are :

1) The New York International Olive Oil Competition,
2) The Los Angeles Extra Virgin Olive Oil Competition, and
3) The Good Food Awards.

The first year we considered entering any competitions was 2017 since our November, 2016 harvest was so large that we realized we were going to have to sell the oil. In previous years as the orchard was developing, the harvests were small and we just gave the oil to friends and family.

We were so surprised to see us listed as receiving Gold at the NYIOOC!!!  Prior to our name changing to Swayne Family Ranch LLC in 2017, we were Bennett Valley Ranch LLC.

Our oil was called “Pete and Sherry’s “ Extra Virgin Olive Oil Tuscan Blend.

Nine hundred (900) olive oils from over 60 countries entered the competition. One hundred and ninety five (195) oils received gold; of those 45 were from the United States. The majority of those are from California.  We were one of 6 from Sonoma County to win Gold!
